“Race In Faith”

When making this drawing I felt it would truly represent what this year would mean for me. A battle against myself and only myself. No outside influence would hinder the mission that was set out for me. So this illustration is my staple piece for 2025. The Bible verse on her bib is Hebrews 12, specifically with Hebrews 12:1-3 being shown in the background, which ties directly into the overall meaning of the drawing.

“Race In Faith” is exactly what the title says, a race, one beyond my desires to control, one where I need to let go, be focused, not tempted, but disciplined in my mission. I look up to Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, her determination and strength as an athlete, and her composure is truly admirable. Moreover, her ability to let her faith guide her in every facet of her life. She wears her faith on her sleeve in every race as she calmly triumphs through every obstacle. One thing we can all take note of when in our race.
