“My Legacy”

Acrylic Painting w/ Plastic for glass

18”x24”

Within all darkness is light. Behind every shallow lens is a deeper truth. My goal for ever piece I make is to narrate that truth. Shatter the shallow, perspective altering glass, that blinds our vision with temporary sight of things that don’t matter. I also want to narrate, I want to capture the essence of my culture, my people, and everywhere I set foot. A visual scribe documenting the good, bad, and just simply existing.

There’s multiple reasons but art is so layered that you can capture emotions, memories, and more. And it’s much more gratifying than anyones approval, any money, or just following trends. But granted that is MY viewpoint. The great thing about art is that is can be a hobby, passion, profession, or career. It’s what you make it. I personally can’t live without it. Do you know your legacy?
